Vx lifecam headset to wear, or messing about trying to co-ordinate with a desktop mic. All in all even if I had bought it brand new in lfecam box, this is the web cam for me, no doubt. How did you install the drivers from the VX map after unzipping?
Oueta, thank vx lifecam so much for your efforts. I did find though that Cortana is vx lifecam longer available since downloading aforementioned driver. I have been using my Lifecam VX for a while now after downloading the drivers for this webcam as recommended by oueta.
It is a webcam with built vx lifecam microphone, no doubt about it! I was just about to give up. Is it possible to get a 32bit version of the VX drivers. At first I was concerned because it had no software included, like the new one I purchased for my grandson, but once it plugged it in, Vx lifecam immediately downloaded everything I need.
There is another condition that your LifeCam cannot work on Skype suddenly, you can fix it by the next steps. If you have the driver problem with your computer, you can try to use Driver Booster to help you find, download and update all the drivers for Windows 10 system.

Most of the world had been running Windows 10 for years by the time I bought this product, which was dated May Windows 10 was released 5 years before this in !!!
Why is there no Windows compatible driver for a brand new product sold in May by Microsoft themselves - a situation contradicted by their own label info on their product?
I intend to make a complaint with the Australian ombudsman. It is basically fraud. But what a massive waste of time. If only Microsoft could be honest. I bought and used this same camera with Windows 10 since July teaching High School; it worked great up until this week with no compatibility issues.
I did have updates paused for some time due to the fact that I was teaching classes and couldn't afford to have an update interfere with online distance learning. My sound completely went out with the update as well.
I completely agree that this camera was sold and advertised as being compatible with Windows 10 in the US, so therefore the response is warranted. Also, because Windows 10 shows this camera as having an error now, there is NO Compatibility Tab showing in the properties screen. I bought a LifeCam HD earlier this year. Experience the vivid sights, sounds and colours of real life with HD video in this Microsoft webcam. Unfortunately there's only the version of Windows 8 driver and software for that specific webcam, you might have some success getting the driver and software to install and work if you run the installation file in compatibility mode for Windows 8 when installing.
